Code of Conduct

1. Introduction

This Code of Conduct applies to all instructors, staff, volunteers, and members of Nodoka Martial Arts. Our mission is to promote martial arts in a safe, inclusive, and ethical environment.

2. Respect & Courtesy

  • Treat all students, staff, and spectators with respect.

  • Use appropriate language and behavior at all times.

  • Respect cultural and individual differences.

3. Professionalism & Integrity

  • Demonstrate honesty and fairness in all dealings.

  • Uphold the values of martial arts on and off the mats.

  • Be a positive role model for students and peers.

4. Safety & Wellbeing

  • Ensure all training activities prioritize student safety.

  • Encourage proper warm-ups and risk-awareness in training.

  • Report any safety concerns to club management immediately.

5. Instructional Excellence

  • Provide training appropriate to students' levels.

  • Encourage continuous learning and self-improvement.

  • Promote discipline, respect, and perseverance in training.

6. Safeguarding & Confidentiality

  • Maintain confidentiality of members’ personal information.

  • Follow child safeguarding policies and report concerns.

  • Ensure no inappropriate physical or verbal conduct.

  • Do not be alone with another child (that isn’t your own) in the studio or giving lifts (even if agreed with another parent) without another instructor/volunteer present

7. Social Media & Public Conduct

  • Represent Nodoka Martial Arts positively in public and online.

  • Refrain from inappropriate or harmful social media posts.

  • Refrain from messaging children under 18 unless through professional channels, and still should be to a minimum.

8. Conflict Resolution

  • Address conflicts with professionalism and fairness.

  • Encourage open communication to resolve disputes.

9. Compliance & Disciplinary Action

Any violation of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or removal from Nodoka Martial Arts.

10. Acknowledgment

By training or instructing at Nodoka Martial Arts, you agree to uphold this Professional Code of Conduct.
